It’s time to get to know Bob and Wyatt Howe and find out why they are so well known throughout the state of Maine.

Maine Knows Howe is a podcast featuring Master Maine Guide Bob Howe & his son Wyatt. The show focuses on outdoor stories, tips, tricks and Pine Grove Program, a non-profit Bob started in 1976 to take veterans and first responders on free outdoor trips.

 

 

 

 

Robert Howe

Bob is a native of Waterville, Maine. He grew up hunting, fishing, and trapping starting at age 8, spending countless hours with his grandfather and other mentors teaching him respect and value of Maine’s outdoor heritage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 1976 he obtained his Maine Master Guide License and began to share his knowledge with others.

Since 1998, he and his wife have been owners and operators of Pine Grove Lodge, a four season sporting camp, and Maine Guide Snowshoe Company.

Now, his time is mostly spent planning free outdoor adventures for our nation’s military through the “Pine Grove Program” which he has founded.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wyatt Howe

Wyatt as Bob Howe’s son, grew up and trained under his fathers outdoor tutelage. Owner at Squaretail Rods, Board of Directors at Pine Grove Program and Co-Owner and Professional Maine Guide at Pine Grove Lodge and Cabins.

Wyatt masterfully builds custom fly rods, spinning/casting rods, bass rods, and trolling rods to customers specifications.

 

 

 

He has provided many fully outfitted fishing trip to some of Maine’s most beautiful trout ponds located deep in the heart of the forest.

He has  spent countless hours fishing and guiding on remote ponds and lakes and has gathered many tips, tricks, and techniques that can help you be successful even when the fish aren't breaking the surface.
